The race started in August 2024; Eco-justice Ethiopia, partnering with Serve Global Youth Volunteer Network, launched an essay competition for Ethiopian youth (age 15-29) with big ideas for a climate-just future.
More than 150 climate enthusiasts joined the essay competition to share their unique vision on tackling climate change and win up to 10,000 Birr. Participants were given options to choose from two inspiring themes:
🌍 "My Vision for a Climate-Just Ethiopia"
🌱 "Climate Change Challenges and Opportunities: How I am Affected"
The winners were promised that their work would be published, and here we are keeping that promise. We invite you to read the top three winning essays awarded on 14th September 2024 at the "Youth Pave the Way for climate justice workshop" organized by Eco-justice Ethiopia, SG-YV, and Enfluencers.
