Documentary for Social Change Project
is a project that aims at unveiling the indigenous forms of environmental conservation and the activities of exemplary local environmentalists in Ethiopia. To achieve this goal we engage by producing documentaries and creating online platforms to engage journalists and other stakeholders such as students who can produce other artistic works on indigenous methods of environmental conservation.
We want to contribute our share to resolving problems related to environmental reporting in Ethiopia. We aim to create a pool of journalists, environmentalists, and community leaders to tell environmental stories that can positively impact our society.
To achieve this, we have so far organized pieces of training for journalists. We have also produced several short videos and a full-length documentary on indigenous environmental conservation practices in Ethiopia.
