Dr. Tilahun is an experienced Principal Associate with demonstrated skills in the areas of financial service laws (in particular financial technology laws), tax, corporate, and employment laws. He was formerly an assistant professor at Bahir Dar University School of Law and has many years of teaching and research experience. His expertise comprises investment law, international economic law, and international trade law. He published widely in leading national and international journals, including the African Journal of International and Comparative Law, African Identities, and Journal of African Law.
Currently, he works at Aman Assefa and Associates Law Office where he consults/advises on ranges of legal issues. He possesses extensive expertise on investment laws, financial service laws, (including financial technology laws), tax, corporate and employment laws.
Tilahun holds a PhD from Monash University, Australia. He did his LL.M in International Trade and Investment Law from the University of Pretoria and American University Washington College of Law (exchange program). He received his LL.B (great distinction) from Bahir Dar University.
